Ministry rents cut-price Bratislava apartment to police vice president’s husband who was not entitled to it
The Maškar family pays €20 per month for a two-bedroom apartment with a parking space. The husband of the new police vice president, Jana Maškarová, has been renting an apartment from the Ministry of the Interior for years. This rental is available to police officers who do not own an apartment or another rental property in the area of their work. However, the Maškars have owned their own apartment in Bratislava since 2011. According to the land registry, they purchased it in a different part of the city through a mortgage. Last fall, when renewing the rental contract, the husband of the vice president declared and signed that he did not own such an apartment..
