Police dropped the case of the accident involving a Lunetic singer in which a man was killed
Last May, Lunetic band singer Václav Jelínek (44) struck a man who was crossing the motorway. Despite trying to help him, the pedestrian died. After the accident, the singer tested positive in a breathalyzer test and lost his driver’s license. Police have now shelved the case. “After evaluating all the evidence, detectives concluded that the elements of the criminal offense of negligent homicide, a misdemeanor, or any other unlawful act were not met. In other words, responsibility for the traffic accident did not lie with the driver of the passenger vehicle,” police spokeswoman Vlasta Suchánková told Týdeník Policie, adding that the police have therefore closed the case.
