Police adjourn case of Lunetic singer’s accident that killed man
Last May, the singer of the band Lunetic, Václav Jelínek (44), hit a man crossing the highway. Although he tried to help him, the pedestrian died. The singer had a positive breath test after the accident and lost his driving licence. Police have now dropped the case. “After evaluating all the evidence, the criminal investigators have concluded that there was no criminal offence of negligent homicide, misdemeanour or other unlawful act, i.e. that the driver of the car was not at fault for the accident,” police spokeswoman Vlasta Suchánková told the Police Weekly, adding that the police have postponed the case.
