Police officers will wear body cameras, Mikulov’s department will buy the first ones this year
The Interior Ministry plans to buy 192 body cameras for the police. The Ministry of the Interior (MoI) of the Slovak Republic plans to purchase 192 body cameras for police officers, including accessories and IT equipment for storing footage from the cameras in the ministry’s information systems, as part of a pilot project. Police officers could receive the new equipment later this year. The police force expects the deployment of the cameras to help deepen public confidence. The press department of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic told TASR.
