Nurse sacked for redundancy at time of covid, court sticks up for her
The dismissal of a nurse for redundancy during a covid epidemic was absurd and against the law. This was the conclusion reached by the District Court in Klatovy in the case of Hana Harantová, who worked at the town’s Sušice Hospital. The firing was allegedly a reaction of politicians from the city’s leadership to the fact that she had long made clear her negative opinion that the city had leased the city hospital to the private company Penta. Subsequently, she also criticised the dismissal of the hospital’s managing directors representing the Pirate Party.
