Child tracking boom in the Czech Republic: worried parents buy chips, locators and apps
Emotionally heated situations can lead to heated words. Although hateful sentences can hurt parents, experts advise keeping calm. This is because these words are usually not a reflection of the parent’s abilities or the children’s true feelings. Gone are the days when children would run out with friends on a weekend or just a weekday afternoon without adult supervision and return home at the appointed time. Parents in the Czech Republic are worried about them and are now increasingly buying various tracking devices that detect the location of their offspring. They keep them with them at all times, like in their school bags. Mothers and fathers justify this by fear of criminals and kidnappings, as well as a general feeling that security is deteriorating around the world. According to police data, child abductions by strangers are very rare in the Czech Republic, with statistics filled mainly by parents’ escalated actions after failed partnerships.
