The average wage rose by 6.9% year-on-year to EUR 1 211 last year. However, in the last quarter of 2021, it rose to EUR 1 331. Despite higher inflation, real wage growth also increased, according to data from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic, with wages rising by 3.6% in real terms for the whole of 2021. However, high inflation took a significant part of the wage growth in the last months of last year, so real wages increased by only 1.3%..
