Regional authorities make more frequent use of data from operators. They want to better map visitor traffic to their regions
Almost ten million tourists headed to South Moravia last year. This is based on an analysis of anonymised data from mobile operators published by the South Moravian Tourist Board. The number is about four times higher than the figure provided by the Czech Statistical Office. It also includes data on non-staying tourists, which the statistical office does not have. Therefore, other regions are also resorting to analysis using data from mobile operators.
