Moravian-Silesian Region will not receive €20 million for costs after floods
The Moravian-Silesian Region will not receive almost €20 million to finance initial costs after last year’s devastating floods, which the government promised in December. In a press release, Moravian-Silesian Governor Josef Bělica (ANO) told ČTK that the governor is distorting reality. Nikola Birklenová, spokeswoman for the regional authority, said that Finance Minister Zbyněk Stanjura (ODS) sent a letter to Bělica saying that due to the state budget spending for 2025, the request for a refund could not be granted. This is scandalous, the governor commented.
