Czech Republic loses mission commander in Israel buffer zone after general’s failure
Major General Pavel Kolář is no longer the commander of the international mission that oversees compliance with the terms of the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt. He asked to be relieved of his post for personal reasons. However, his decision was preceded by inappropriate behaviour towards a high-ranking colleague. Kolář is now back in the Czech Republic. As the General Staff confirmed to Aktuálně.cz, his departure deprived the Czech Republic of the mission’s command position.
