Vondra claims he did not know about the overpriced contract to Promopro
Defence Minister Alexandr Vondra (ODS) has rejected responsibility for the contract for the Promopro company from his then-headed Office for European Affairs without competition. Instead of 85, the company charged the state 766 million. The former head of the government office claims that Vondra knew about it. Defence Minister and former Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Alexandr Vondra (ODS) claims that he did not personally negotiate, sign and was not familiar with the suspicious contract with Promopro during the EU Presidency. The former head of the government office, Jan Novák, said he had arranged for the contracts to be approved by him and his economic advisers and deputies. However, the minister and ODS deputy chairman admitted that people from his team were involved in the drafting of the contracts. Vondra told reporters on Thursday.
