Half of Ukrainian refugees have jobs. But they take little and suffer from destitution, experts warn
They fled the war, gained asylum in the Czech Republic and began to work. While in Ukraine they worked as managers or specialists, in their new refuge they mainly do manual and auxiliary work. Although more than half of the economically active refugees have found work in the Czech Republic, 50 percent of the newcomers are below the income poverty line due to low wages, according to a study by PAQ Research.
