Seven punches to the names of the children killed. Police are looking for witnesses to the damage to the memorial
Police are asking for the help of any witnesses who might be able to help reveal who damaged the memorial commemorating the 11 Romani children murdered in the concentration camps. Someone repeatedly struck the memorial, which stands on Kunratická Street in Liberec, with a sharp object and destroyed a plaque with the names of the victims. The memorial to the Children Who Have Not Known the World has stood in a meadow near the quarry since February 2024 on the site of a former concentration camp from the Second World War.
