When investigating under-15s, the police will have to provide them with a lawyer
Members meet for the last time this year. They are due to begin debating the first reading of an amendment to the Youth Justice Act. It will give children under 15 more rights when their actions are dealt with by the police. Police officers will now have to ensure that they have a lawyer present when they are investigated for a crime.
