In 2003, Gevorg Avetisjan started making honey sweets in Frýdek-Místek according to an old family recipe. And since his daughter had just been born, he named them after her – Marlenka. Today, this honey cake is one of the most famous in the Czech Republic, with over 14 million pieces made in the last 10 years, and Avetisjan and his son Nshan (both in the opening photo) export it all over the world, including China and Africa.
