Man in Karlovy Vary sentenced to three years in prison for throwing a dog out of a window
Today, the Regional Court in Plzeň handed down a final three-year prison sentence to forty-year-old Bedřich Filip from Karlovy Vary for animal abuse. According to the indictment, the man killed his dog by throwing it out of a fifth-floor window. At trial, the defendant argued that he was trying to shake off the 30-kilogram Staffordshire terrier after it latched onto his sleeve, allegedly during play.
