Expensive and rusty, say the Ukrainians about guns from the Czech Republic. They didn’t even pay, the company defends itself
Czech armaments companies have long been among the key suppliers to the Ukrainian army and local companies. However, the seemingly idyllic relationship has been occasionally disrupted by cases in which Ukrainian investigators have suggested that some deals with the Czechs were at least disadvantageous to the Ukrainian side. This also applies to one of the deals made by Real Trade Prague in Ukraine. MF DNES came across it when it was investigating the contracts of domestic armourers in Ukraine. Six of the eight machine guns delivered showed signs of damage – corrosion and mechanical damage to parts – which may indicate that the weapons were used.
