Since lowering the age of entry into the Police Force, 316 under-21s have reported to the force
In July, an amendment came into force to lower the age limit for joining the police. In the first month since the age limit for joining the police was lowered, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) registered a total of 316 candidates under the age of 21. The press department of the Ministry of the Interior (MoI) of the Slovak Republic told TASR. “From January 2023 until now, a total of 2,023 applications for recruitment as a member of the Police Force (PZ) have been received. Of these, 525 applications were received from persons below 21 years of age,” the Interior Ministry added.
