There are 461 castles and ruins in the Czechia. The Central Bohemia region leads the way, so where to go?
The Czech Republic is a small country, but full of beautiful sights. The image of our country is inherently linked to castles like a fairy tale. But how many do we really have? And where to go on a trip if you want to see as much as possible? Tolštejn Castle is a ruin of a medieval castle on the northern side of the Lusatian Mountains in the south of the Šluknov Spur in northern Bohemia. This results from a survey of 461 castles and ruins registered in the Monument Catalogue of the National Heritage Institute.
