Before Michal Kraus announced on Monday evening that he was resigning from the Czech Parliament, Police Chief Vladislav Husák announced that police were beginning to investigate Kraus’s role in the so-called cocoa case. Unfortunately, the alliance of the repressive apparatus, political competitors and irresponsible or outright bought journalists is capable of liquidating anyone it can point a finger at,” says former Czech MP Michal Kraus.
