The tunnel can only be used thanks to an exemption, the approval was only brought closer by looser noise limits
Even after more than ten years since its completion, the Královopol tunnel in Brno has still not been approved. The reason is excessive noise in the surroundings. Only a government amendment on road noise limits, which has been in force since July this year, brought a chance. Drivers have been using the Královopolský Tunnel in Brno for eleven years, but only thanks to a repeatedly extended exemption for exceeding noise limits.
