The court acquitted Babiš in the Stork nest (Čapí hnízdo) case. I am glad we have an independent judiciary, reacted the former Prime Minister
On Monday, the Prague City Court acquitted former Prime Minister and ANO chief Andrej Babiš and Jana Nagyová of charges in the Čapí hní hnízdo case concerning a CZK 50 million subsidy for the construction of a complex in Central Bohemia. The prosecutor asked for a three-year suspended sentence and a fine. The verdict is not final. The public prosecutor has retained the deadline for appeal. Babiš said that the case was over for him and that he was not thinking of asking for satisfaction. Nagyová will discuss possible compensation for damages in case of final acquittal with her lawyers.
