The entire nation has doubts about the investigation into the Bečva accident. The verdict is not clear, says Minister Hladík
The poisoning of the Bečva River, which killed more than 39 tonnes of fish in September 2020, was caused by Energoaqua, according to Monday’s ruling by the Vsetín District Court. But the judge did not impose a penalty on the company or its boss. “I was expecting either a clear condemnation of a specific company or, on the contrary, a clear acquittal and the investigation to be focused in a different way,” said Environment Minister Petr Hladík of the KDU-CSL.
