He has some explaining to do. Former entertainer and current OĽANO MP Jozef Pročko chose his daughter’s boyfriend as his parliamentary assistant. The young man thus earns a monthly salary of more than €1,400. However, Pročko insists that he hasn’t broken any rules and claims he isn’t acting like a “big shot.” “I don’t employ anyone — the National Council of the Slovak Republic does. At the beginning, we were told to choose someone we trust. I’ve known Rado since 2014; yes, he’s my daughter’s boyfriend,” said the former entertainer, who regularly speaks to his followers on social media and answers their questions. It is true that parliamentary assistants are paid by the National Council, but they are chosen directly by the MP. Pročko has two assistants, each receiving a monthly remuneration of €1,474.50. One of them is OĽANO candidate Mária Benová, and the other is Radovan Vančo, who is the boyfriend of his daughter Zuzana.
