Fico’s remarks have raised the West’s hackles. He has always had a soft spot for Russia, says journalist
This time, however, Fico’s remarks did not leave some foreign politicians and diplomats cold. The British ambassador to Slovakia, Nigel Baker, was critical of Fico, saying that the West also wants peace in Ukraine. The diplomat described claims to the contrary as “untrue, plain and simple”.
