The “incredible importance” of the Czech ammunition initiative. A Czech woman from Donbas described the impact on the front
A Czech drone pilot nicknamed Radouch has been fighting on the Ukrainian front for almost half a year. Aktuálně.cz editor-in-chief Matyáš Zrno contacted her remotely and discussed not only the situation on the Donbas battlefield.
Note: In March 2023, the EU committed to delivering one million rounds of artillery ammunition to Ukraine within a year, but it has failed to meet that goal. The first shipment from the so-called Czech ammunition initiative arrived in Ukraine a year and three months later (on June 27, 2024). By October 3, 2024, only about 150,000 rounds of artillery ammunition had been delivered through this initiative. For illustration, at that time, the Ukrainian army was reportedly firing approximately 25,000 rounds per day from its artillery.
