Doctors are asking women for illegal fees. We are addressing this, it sounds from the ministry
Patients in gynaecological surgeries are still faced with high registration or annual fees, which are used by doctors as a condition for care. However, the Ministry and the chamber believe that this practice is illegal. According to the women’s experience, they encounter the fees most often in Prague. This is a phenomenon that is commonly addressed, for example, on internet discussion forums. There, patients also share recommendations on where to go without automatically preparing one’s wallet.
