Hepatitis epidemic in Czechoslovakia caused by human faeces fertilisation
In the Moravian-Silesian Region, the hepatitis A epidemic, which health officials have been fighting for more than a year, continues. However, the number of new cases is not growing. In May, health officials recorded 13 new cases, which is comparable to April. However, this is still more than double the annual number of infections for 2023. However, the largest hepatitis A epidemic in Czechoslovakia was in 1979, when 34 000 people fell ill.
