Pavel Zeman failed to convince the court that a golden parachute from an MP to an acquaintance is embezzlement
Jiří Šulc, a former ODS MP and former governor of the Ústí Region, is on probation. He illegally arranged a competition clause for his friend. The person in question was Petr Kušnierz, the former director of the Severozápad subsidy office, who was facing corruption charges. The prosecutor’s office asked the Supreme Court to give Šulc a harsher sentence. However, according to Aktuálně.cz, his appeal failed.
