A relatively trivial “joke” about the Romani Holocaust caused a stir. “Please, I have a bus full of gypsies here,” Kozub quotes the “conductor” of the bus in which a group of Romani people are traveling to see the former ghetto after the war “so that it will never happen again.” The doorman whispers back to the conductor in surprise, “We don’t do that here anymore!” Laughter. Applause.
