The tax authority has shut down a company that paid billions into the state budget. Is a Gangster State emerging in the Czechia?
The company FAU Přerov had assets worth hundreds of millions and in the past paid billions of Czech crowns into the state budget. The insolvency register clearly shows that the only reason for the bankruptcy proceedings against FAU was payment demands for a tax that was supposed to be paid by another entity, as well as orders securing a tax that had not yet been assessed, issued by various bodies of the financial administration. Courts in this case have already (non-finally) ruled that these interventions were illegal. The case was first reported by Hospodářské noviny, and shortly afterwards another recording allegedly featuring ANO chairman Andrej Babiš appeared on the Twitter account of the anonymous group Šuman..
