Parties will have a cap on how much they can spend on election campaigns
Political parties and movements will have limits on election spending from next year. For example, they will be able to spend a maximum of CZK 90 million on campaigning for the lower house elections. The limits were introduced by an amendment to the electoral laws signed by President Miloš Zeman. In the case of regional elections, the limit is set at CZK 7 million per region. Senatorial candidates would not be allowed to spend more than CZK 2.5 million on campaigning.
