Vending machines for filtered water are launched at railway stations. They require an app or card
Passengers at selected railway stations in the Czech Republic will be able to draw filtered water from vending machines. The project was presented to journalists on Wednesday at Prague’s main railway station by Jiří Svoboda, Director General of the Railway Administration (SŽ), and Martin Václavík from Lokni, the company that operates the machines. He pointed out that passengers still have the possibility to draw water from the tap in the toilets, which is not prevented by anyone. He also pointed out that the machines filter the water. “I see this as a much more hygienic and health benefit than having a tap somewhere right on the platform,” he said.
