The idea of a free new reactor is illusory
Commentary by Oldřich Sklenář: The mass construction of new nuclear units is supposed to “save” the Czech Republic money for one more reactor. However, this tempting-sounding claim runs into more than one obstacle in practice and masks serious risks for the domestic macroeconomic situation, without at the same time providing a solution to the fundamental challenge facing the Czech energy sector.
