The Czech government has run out of patience with Fico. It cancels joint meetings

At its meeting on Wednesday, the government of Prime Minister Petr Fiala (ODS) decided to cancel the intergovernmental negotiations with the Slovak cabinet of Robert Fico. It is doing so in response to the conciliatory rhetoric of the Fico government towards Russia. “We do not consider it appropriate at this time. We consider some activities to be problematic,” Fiala justified the move.

Aero Vodochody, SVOS Přelouč, ERA Pardubice and the LOM PRAHA Air Training Centre were visited by the Minister of Defence Jana Černochová (ODS) and her Slovak counterpart Robert Kaliňák (SMER-SD) during the week. They visited four Czech defence industry companies to see what they can offer to the Czech and Slovak defence forces. Černochová also announced the purchase of several MARS vehicles from the SVOS company in Přelouč. Vodochod Aero offered Slovakia L-39 Skyfox aircraft.
