To the hall when you pay! The father missed the birth. Complaints about fees are also dealt with by the ombudsman
Charges for the father or other close relatives to attend the birth are a thing of the past in many hospitals, but some still insist on payment. Petra Langová of the Juno Moneta association, which defends the rights of patients, is asking the ombudsman to help her with complaints. In her opinion, medical institutions are demanding money unjustly. “I accompanied my client to the University Hospital in Motol to give birth. I waited for a long time for the key to the wardrobe and in the process witnessed a situation where another young woman was giving birth, but the medical staff would not let the father of the child near her. They sent him to go and pay the fee of 688 crowns first. The man obeyed. However, he missed the birth because of this.
