A volunteer firefighter and a professional paramedic did not survive a tragic collision between two vehicles in the Českolipsko region
On the road I/9 in front of Nová Hutí, in the direction from Rumburk to Svor, there was a collision of two passenger vehicles with fatal injuries. Police spokeswoman Ivana Baláková commented on the tragic traffic accident, saying that the accident occurred at around 6 a.m. and all components of the Integrated Rescue System had to intervene.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce that our colleague Miroslav Beneš tragically died this morning, June 20, 2022, on his way to work. The world has lost an extraordinary man who was a great husband, father, brother, son, uncle, friend, firefighter and rescuer in body and soul.
