Overall impression of the visit to the Ještěd ski resort
My daughter talked me into going night skiing at Ještěd, and I gave in and went along. I didn’t expect much, because I usually have bad luck with the snow conditions and slope grooming here—and it turned out exactly as I expected. Once was enough, and I’m cured for a long time. I didn’t enjoy it at all except for the very first run from the first lift. Otherwise, it was basically a battle just to make it down safely. I haven’t seen that many fallen skiers and snowboarders in a long time, and the mountain rescue service even had to intervene. Hopefully everyone was okay! I made it down without injury, but I didn’t enjoy it at all. Night skiing is included in the price of my season pass. My daughter, who is 18, paid €15 after ISIC and Happy goX Days discounts (which are always on Mondays and Tuesdays in January), and that price would still be acceptable. Anyone who buys a skipass at the ticket office just before night skiing pays €28, which is already far too much..
