Czech households have the most expensive electricity in the EU, Eurostat reports
Electricity prices for households in the Czech Republic in the second half of last year were the highest in the European Union according to the purchasing power standard (PPS). This was announced on Tuesday by the EU statistics office Eurostat. The PPS is a common currency that erases differences in price levels between countries and allows for comparisons between them. Prices in the Czech Republic were 41 PPS per 100 kilowatt hours, followed by Cyprus at 35.70 PPS and Germany at 35.23 PPS.
