The subsidy system is too complicated. The paperwork alone has cost 30 billion over seven years, auditors criticise
The administration of programmes co-financed by the European Structural and Investment Funds for the years 2014 to 2020 cost the Czech Republic almost CZK 30 billion, the Supreme Audit Office (SAO) said. The system is complicated, it said. It believes that the problem is the broad scope of all the support provided from public sources. Beneficiaries of subsidies drew CZK 579 billion from EU funds in this period. A total of 188 titles were co-financed from EU sources.
