A hundred million in six months. How much do government advisors, including Neruda, earn?
Over 100 million crowns in six months. That is how much 14 ministries and the Office of the Government paid their advisors, advisory bodies and law firms for advice in the first half of this year. MF DNES investigated how much they earn in each ministry. As it turned out, sometimes the advisors themselves do not even know about their position. The Health Ministry has the largest number of advisors, while the Finance Ministry spent the most on them, according to data published twice a year by the ministries as part of anti-corruption measures. The highest amount ever paid to the Office of the Government was to Tomáš Hrud, who previously served as deputy to then Education Minister and now Prime Minister Petr Fiala (ODS).
