The Anti-Embezzlement Escrow Fund has been slow to fill up, with the chamber asking attorneys for more money. They’re rebelling
The management of the Bar Association has increased the annual fee for its members by approximately CZK 4,000. This follows from a letter sent to them by chairwoman Monika Novotná. One of the reasons for this is the financing of the newly introduced guarantee fund, from which clients damaged by the misappropriation of escrows are paid. The fund is being filled too slowly, with attorneys paying only CZK 500 per deposit. The Chamber thus has no money to run the fund or to finance its activities.
