Not every person has a good reputation, ministry defends €3,5m compensation claim
The District Court for Prague 2 began hearing the lawsuit filed by freed prisoner Robert Tempel on Tuesday. He is seeking compensation from the Justice Ministry for his illegal life sentence for two murders in the amount of approximately € 3,5 million. The Ministry defends this amount, arguing, for example, that Tempel was already not in good standing before his conviction because he had committed property crimes. A visit to individual prisons is also at stake.
