Černošice Driver’s License Scandal: Court Grants Prosecutor’s Request, Sends All 16 Detainees into Custody
The District Court for Prague 2 has remanded all 16 people charged in the case of illegally obtaining driver’s licenses at the Černošice municipal office into custody. The court’s spokesperson, Marcela Pröllerová, announced this on Friday. The court fully granted the request of the public prosecutor, who had sought pretrial detention for all of the accused. Police allege that the suspects were involved in an organized criminal group; some are also charged with abuse of power by a public official and accepting bribes.
