“Thank you, we are leaving,” the doctors say.
The medical unions have today launched a “Thank you, we’re leaving” campaign demanding that doctors’ salaries should be between 1.5 and three times the average wage. Over 3 000 doctors have signed the campaign. Doctors are demanding adequate wages as well as quality and affordable training for young doctors. The unions say they did not cause the underfunding of the health care system. However, on average, doctors’ salaries meet the union’s demand.
