An Indian complains of inhumane conditions in a Czech prison. He rejects the accusation of conspiracy
His lawyer, according to The Washington Post, describes him as a businessman who was traveling to the Czech Republic “for tourism and to explore a new market for his business” when he was detained at Prague airport and questioned for three hours in a black SUV. Although he is a “devout” Hindu and vegetarian, he says he was offered only “non-vegetarian food, including beef and pork” for ten to eleven days in Czech custody.

Veganism is like faith, the court said. The state must apologize to the prisoner
The state must apologize to leftist activist Lukáš Borl for not providing him with a vegan diet while in prison. The Prague City Court ruled on Wednesday. The information was provided by the institution’s spokesman Adam Wenig. According to the ruling, the state interfered with Borl’s personal rights, specifically his right to freedom of thought and conscience.
