An ODS MP took a photo with a politician who is fighting for the death penalty for gays in Uganda. After criticism, she deleted the photo
“I deleted the photo after being alerted to her political stance on the LGBT+ community. I don’t agree with her views, I didn’t know about them,” the politician defends herself. Czech MEP Eva Decroix (ODS) has come under criticism on social media again after some time. The reason for this was a photo of her with Ugandan MP Lucy Akello. She is fighting for the death penalty for gays in her home country, among other agendas, as activist Kryštof Stupka pointed out. Decroix deleted the photo after criticism and defends herself by saying she was unaware of the Ugandan politician’s LGBT+ views.
