State-owned enterprise developed a 62 million vehicle, sold only 69 units
In a private company this would be a problem, in a state-owned company it doesn’t matter. VOP CZ, a company of the Ministry of Defence dedicated to the production and repair of military equipment, has developed the four-wheeled civilian vehicle Dapper 5000 in-house. It cost 62 million to develop, but only 69 units have been sold since its launch in 2014. In addition, it has accumulated hundreds of millions of dollars in debt over the years.
