Forgotten case of cannibalism in Trebic: Jews were smoked, cut and sold to dog meat dealers
In 1919, one of the worst cases of cannibalism in our country took place. It all started with the disappearance of two brothers and ended with the horrific discovery of the trade in human flesh passed off as dog meat. The dark story took place in the haunted Kohn’s Mill in Trebic – an ugly building where the poor lived. When two brothers, Matouš and Bartoloměj Poličtí, disappeared in 1919, the whole of Třebíč was on its feet.
