Police break up Czech-Ukrainian gang of fake bankers, detain 40 people
Police in Hradec Králové, together with their Ukrainian colleagues, have liquidated a Czech-Ukrainian gang of fake bankers suspected of hundreds of telephone scams with damage in the tens of millions of crowns. “Last week, police officers arrested 40 people in the Czech Republic and Ukraine,” Hradec Králové police spokeswoman Iva Kormošová said on Wednesday. Police expect to prove several hundred more frauds against the accused, with the damage caused increasing.
