Refugees fleeing war will have to prove they have secured accommodation
People who have fled Ukraine after Russia launched a war against their country will have to show proof of accommodation when they meet in person at an Interior Ministry office. A new online platform for registering to extend temporary protection for a year will be launched by the ministry on 30 January. Refugees fleeing Putin’s war who want to stay in the Czech Republic will then have two months to register before the end of March. Those who fail to do so will lose their right to temporary protection.
